We cannot speak highly enough about the special relationship/ bond that Alicia and Timon, our son, have developed over the years that they have worked together. Timon eagerly looks forward to her fortnightly visits where they work together on activities that cater for his needs at his level of understanding, in helping him acquire skills for everyday living. They have looked at areas such as budgeting, money, organisational skills for housekeeping and living independently. Alicia, with sensitivity and respect has also covered areas relating to social skills and interactions with friends, work mates and family etc. What Timon appreciates most about Alicia is her caring and nurturing nature, with lashings of humour and the engaging way she presents and delivers the session content. It is evident that a lot of time, thought and individual planning goes into what they work on together. We would highly recommend Alicia to any parents of a disabled person or individual who would benefit from the services that Alicia can provide.

My daughter always looked forward to her session with Alicia and it has really helped to build her confidence and become self-aware and step out of her comfort zone. DE Focus is good at building strong connections with clients and fostering a caring, trusting environment. Going out of their way to really get to know a client’s strengths and also implementing strategies to achieve goals and work on areas of concern.
